About
I’m Apalak, simply a storyteller by the window—watching people walk by, listening to conversations that are over the moment they’re spoken, and collecting moments that would otherwise be lost in some forgotten corner of the subconscious.
Here you’ll find original short stories and flash fiction about ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances, choices that are anything but choices, quiet heartbreaks that echo louder than any noise, hope that arrives too late—or never at all—and everything in between.
I’ll be honest. Somedays the words arrive effortlessly; on others, they refuse to come at all. Sometimes the distance between the thoughts and how they are poured out is overwhelming; sometimes, the emptiness of the mind tends to be cruel, but I try – to learn, to get better and most importantly – to tell stories worthy of the time you’re kind enough to spend here.
If even one story stays with you long after you’ve closed the page, then the storyteller’s window has served its purpose.
Every window brings something new—an aching soul, a dying conversation, a forgotten dream... but more often than not, a story.
What do you see when you look out?
